The FDI World Dental Congress 2024 (FDIWDC24) is a premier event in dentistry set to take place in Istanbul, Türkiye, from Thursday, 12th September, to Sunday, 15th September 2024.
This event, co-hosted by the FDI World Dental Federation and the Turkish Dental Association, will be held at the Istanbul Congress Center (ICC) and the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Centre  (ICEC), two connected buildings nestled in the heart of Istanbul. FDIWDC24 holds immense significance, serving as a platform that unites the global dental community to exchange ideas, knowledge, and experiences through an enriching scientific programme, extensive exhibition, and invaluable networking opportunities.

The FDI World Dental Congress 2024 (FDIWDC24) in Istanbul will held at the Istanbul Congress Center (ICC) and the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar lnternational Convention and Exhibition Center (ICEC), two connected buildings situated within the Istanbul Congress Valley.

All dental professionals, and practice staff including dentists, hygienists, oral health therapists, dental therapists, dental technicians, dental prosthetists, dental assistants, practice managers, dental students, suppliers and lay persons* (*others connected to the sector are welcome).

FDI World Dental Federation is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. This continuing education activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards of the ADA Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) through joint efforts between FDI World Dental Federation and the Argentinian Dental Association. Delegates who have registered for the congress are eligible to receive continuing education points by attending scientific sessions throughout the congress. Certificates will be available for download after the congress.
FDI designates this activity for 174 continuing education credits.

To be eligible for credits, participants must:
1. Attend the entire session

Participants must scan their badge on entering AND leaving the room
2. Evaluate the session and the speaker(s)

Concerns or complaints about a CE provider may be directed to the provider or to

It is the policy of FDI to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in all its sponsored scientific and educational programs. Faculty must disclose any financial relationships with a commercial interest that might affect the content of their presentation.

The certificate will be available online for download after the congress.

Participants will receive their certificate of participation per email after the congress.

Yes, these programme offerings are currently being finalized and will be made available once they are ready. Please not that there will be an additional cost to attend, and spaces are limited. The congress registration is required for the course registration.

All materials and set-up required for the hands-on applications will be provided by the course organization.

We do not require you to preselect your sessions. You are able to attend any of the main scientific sessions.

All international scientific sessions in the initial six halls will be conducted in English, with simultaneous translation services for English to Turkish. All national scientific sessions in the last two halls will be contucted in Turkish, without simultaneous translation services.

The FDI General Assembly (GA) is the supreme legislative and governing body of FDI. The GA sets FDI policies, the strategic plan, missions and aims, and monitors progress on their achievement. Registered delegates of FDI Member Organizations meet once a year to approve the annual budget and reports, establish the annual subscriptions, hold elections, receive and take necessary action on reports of the Council, and elect Regular, Associate, Affiliate and Supporting Members.

Yes, a half-day city tour is scheduled. An accompanying person will have Access to the exhibition, opening ceremony, and programme dedicated to accompanying persons but are not permitted to attend the scientific sessions. They will, however, be able to purchase tickets to social events.

Yes, these are currently being finalized. Detailed programme will be available shortly.

At this stage, we are putting all efforts into making this a successful face-to-face event.

The Abstracts must be presented by the author or co-authors. If your colleague is not the co-author of the work, it is not possible for thm to present on your behalf. If any of the co-authors are attending the Congress, they may present it on your behalf. Changes of presenter must be communicated to Congress Management before the author registration deadline by emailing fdi@opteamist.com . Papers will be excluded from the Abstract Programme if changes regarding the presenting author are not communicated accordingly.

A valid dental student ID is required at the time of the congress. If you graduate before the congress, you should register as a Young Dentist.

Young Dentist registration is Valid for graduates from 2020 and above. PHD students are considered having completed their pre-graduated studies and should therefore register as Young Dentists.

There is no charge, but it is recommended that registration is completed before the congress. Exhibition only registration will launch closer to the event and be available in the upcoming days. Children under the age of 18 do not need to register to attend the exhibition.

You will be able to get your badge from the registration desks when you arrive at the congress.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • For congress registration cancellations made until June 16th, 2024, a 50% refund is applicable.
  • For all booked registration services cancelled between June 16th and July 16th, 2024, a 30% refund is applicable.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after July 16th, 2024.

There are additional social offerings currently being finalised. All details and associated costs will be announced when ready, with activities subject to change.

The opening ceremony is included. Other events are at an additional cost. Limited tickets will be made available for these events.

Social programs will be an additional cost, and tickets should be purchased for each person.

The app will have the most current content at any given time and will continue to be updated during the Congress. The full Congress programme will be available with detailed information on sessions, locations, and speakers. It will also include an interactive floor plan of the entire ICC Venue to help delegates find their way around. It will feature the Exhibition floor plans the Exhibitors and Sponsor lists, and much more.

To ensure delegates enjoy an uninterrupted experience during sessions, we do not allow children to attend the programme.

It is preferred that children do not attend the exhibition, but we appreciate that sometimes there isn’t an alternative. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 18 do not need to register.
