Digital Dentistry of Quality in Dentistry?

We live in the digital age, and the digital wave has flooded dentistry as well. There are many who seek to digitize processes just to follow a trend, but what is really important is to identify to what extent digitization contributes to improving the quality of the dentist's services. To this end, we will try to analyze the impact of digitalization on the defined six important aims for quality improvement: safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable and patient-centered. By means of different examples we will try to show the impact of digitalization on each of these objectives.

Learning objectives

  • To understand the six main aims for quality improvement: safe, timely, efficient, effective, equitable, timely and patient-centered
  • Identify digital workflows that can be incorporated into the clinic to improve quality
  • Value the investment of time and money needed to implement digital flows in the daily practice.

Evidence in the Reconstruction of Root Filled Teeth

Endodontic tooth reconstruction is a controversial subject. There are a multitude of opinions, often contradictory, and it is not clear how to act and when to act in many clinical situations. There is a lack of scientific evidence in many of the decisions, but in this conference we will try to show some of the aspects in which the literature guides us with some clarity.

Learning objectives

  • To know the survival and success rates of root filled teeth, while understanding that the main cause of failure is restorative failure
  • Differentiate the forces on and risks to root filled anterior and posterior teeth
  • Identify the importance of ferrule and cuspid coating in improving the prognosis of root filled teeth
