A Professor of Periodontology at Stony Brook University, New York, Prof. Georgios Romanos is fully trained in periodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery (Germany/USA). Prof. Georgios Romanos is Board Certified in Oral Surg./Implant Dent. in Germany, a Diplomate by the Am. Board of Periodontology and Past President of the Acad. of Osseointegration (AO) Foundation, the Implantology Research Group of the IADR and currently the President of the IADR-Lasers/Biophotonics Group. A Fellow of Am. Assoc. for Dental Res., Int. College of Dentists, Prof. Romanos has global educational/research activities and he has served as Visiting Professor in Brazil, Italy, Spain, Malaysia, and UT/USA. Prof. Romanos is the author of more than 450 publications, editor, and co-editor in 8 books; lectured in more than 50 countries (over 700 presentations worldwide), and the recipient of many scientific awards.
