Esthetic Guidelines for Anterior Composite (Pink and White Proportions )

We usually face unique challenges while doing composite restorations in the esthetic zone. Among these for example is the question of how to adjust length versus width of a tooth to produce ideal proportions Also the question of how to get primary and secondary anatomy and its effect in tooth shape, what is the best polishing protocols to get high esthetic and natural surface As well as soft tissue level and how it all affects the final esthetic outcomes. Finally, in this lecture, we shall start with simple guidelines in smile analysis, soft tissue management and composite placement and conclude with finishing protocols that guide best esthetic outcomes in anterior restorations

Learning objectives

  • Smile analysis protocol, direct or indirect
  • Golden proportions variation, limitations and solutions
  • Soft tissue level and its impact in the final esthetic
  • Finishing and polishing impact esthetic outcome

Microscopic Management of Deep Decay

in our daily practice, most of the decay are deep and sometimes to the bone level, solution for such cases variable form matrix and isolation game, to surgical and orthodontic intervention. dental magnification helped us to be more minimal invasive and chose the less harmful treatment.

Learning objectives

  • Magnification in dentistry and how it affects final result
  • Deep marginal elevation solution from surgical to non-surgical approach
  • Different matrix protocols to finish deep decay cases
