Landscape, like music, is a universal language.What the landscape reflects depends on one's perspective. It is history and culture reflected in the settlement pattern of cities and villages. It is architecture and cultural artifacts that mark the passage of time and important events.

It is a mirror of ideology, fashion, and a vision of impending change,the future, and the problems these may come to pose in Türkiye, one experiences an incredible diversity of nature, culture, history, beliefs and ideas. This is why the Turkish panorama has been described as a "symphony of sounds, smells, and people in the most unlikely combinations of appearance and action."

The Anatolian peninsula (alsa called Asia Minor),comprising most of modern Türkiye, is one of the oldest continually inhabited regions in the world due to it’s location at the intersection of Asia and Europe,and as such, reflects the characteristics of both continents.
